2019 3-CRIB Fiasco Pusuit race

September 22, 2019

It was a windy day for the 2019 3-CRIB Fiasco (pursuit race) with 23 boats starting! We saw gusts up to 35 knots, with a sustained breeze in the mid-’20s. Racers had their choice to start northbound or southbound, and with the TWD (true wind direction) of 200–220 degrees the clear choice was the South course leaving racers with two tight jib reaches, a beat, and a hot spinnaker run!

Skyway Yacht Works 2019 Colors Regatta

JUNE 1-2, 2019

The COLORS Regatta, sponsored by Skyway Yacht Works, is Columbia Yacht Club's One-Level Offshore Racing Series and has been Chicago’s shake-the-sheets event since 1995! More than 100 boats race annually during the first weekend of June and the strong one-design presence of the Beneteau, J/Boat, Tartan-10 and other large fleets designates the event as a tune-up for the season.

Skyway Yacht Works Dash to the Dock

The 6th Annual Skyway Yacht Works Dash to the Dock Regatta is set for Saturday, May 11! This is the annual start of the season and an event aimed at getting people out of the yard and into the harbor. This year’s event features breakfast and an 11am harbor start from the yard.

2018 PHRF Fleet Party

The 2018 PHRF Fleet Party will be held at Columbia Yacht Club on Saturday, October 27! Doors open at 6pm, door prizes galore. Awards start at 6:30pm. Cash cover $15. Cash bar. Food for purchase. Live music featuring Mr. Blotto!

2018 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Offshore Regatta

SEPTEMBER 14–16, 2018

The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Offshore Regatta will be held at the Chicago Corinthian Yacht Club over the weekend of September 14–16 2018. On Friday, September 14th, teams are invited to practice in the afternoon. Racing will occur on Saturday and Sunday. Teams will depart on Sunday, September 16th. A more detailed schedule will be out closer to the event.
