The City of Chicago announced that the city will enter Phase 3 of the recovery plan on June 3rd. While this date marks the start of the new phase, various activities will be phased in. Westrec is currently working on details with the Park District to determine what date the Chicago Harbors will 'officially' open, however they announced the following boat 'staging' plan:

Lake Superior’s June 5th forecasted level is 6-inches lower than it was a year ago, while the June 5th forecasted levels for Lakes Michigan-Huron, St. Clair, and Erie are 7-, 2-, and 1-inches, respectively higher than last year’s level. Skyway Yacht Works Dash to the Dock
MAY 9, 2019 — CANCELLED

The 7th Annual Skyway Yacht Works Dash to the Dock Regatta is set for Saturday, May 9! This is the annual start of the season and an event aimed at getting people out of the yard and into the harbor. This year’s event features breakfast at 8am and an 11am harbor start from the yard.

On March 21st it was announced that all docks, boat storage facilities, parking lots, launch ramps, and other harbor properties will be closed to the public in accordance with Governor Pritzker’s “stay-at-home” order and the resulting Chicago Park District closures. We are monitoring updates and recommendations from the CDC (Centers for Disease Control), WHO (World Health Organization), and CDPH (Chicago Department of Public Health) regarding the spread of COVID-19.
